It's crunch time! Tomorrow is my official last day of summer vacation. Guess what wild and crazy thing I'm doing? LAMINATING MY NAME TAGS! lol! I live on the edge. So many last minute things to do.. I need about 2 more weeks, don't we all?
I'm joining the fun at "A Turn to Learn"'s Back to School Jitters Linky Party:
Here's my list of jitters!
I've been working hard on my back to school lessons and added one of them to my TPT store. Have you read the book Don't Squeal Unless It's A Big Deal?
It's my favorite book for teaching about tattling.. lots of examples of when to tell the teacher and when not to tell the teacher. I've created both a book sort and a classroom sort for students to practice evaluating situations where they need to decide whether to "squeal" or not. You can check it out HERE :)
Enjoy what is left of your summer!! :)
Will definitely have to check out that book-my kiddos drive me crazy with all that tattling.

I am right there with you on trying to remind myself that I don't have to complete everything before the first day of school, I am thinking this weekend of making two to do lists: by the first day and future to do's. Also, dreading the laminator/copier line next week with 73 teachers. I'm one of your newest followers!
ReplyDeleteI really have to remember it doesn't have to all be done the first day since I am missing some of the workdays! Our copier line will be CRAZY, but the we have no laminator.
ReplyDeleteHope you have a great year & I am following you also.

I am also worried that the laminator line will be long. That is why I bought my own laminator. Thing is I totally forgot about laminating my name tags! As I was thinking about what has to be done I realized that like you said, everything does not have to be done the first day.
ReplyDeleteGood luck on your first day of school! We just finished 2 days with kids this week. I like that book-I'll have to go get it
ReplyDelete:-). We are your newest followers.
Hi! I am your newest follower! I giggled at your comment because I am procrastinating going to the teacher store because I KNOW the laminator line will be SO LONG! :)
